Marksmen Tradition Since 1888
The Großburgwedel Marksmen's Association of 1888 e.V. looks back on over 135 years of club history. The annual folk and marksmen's festival is a central program item and shapes the city life in the Großburgwedel district of the town of Burgwedel.
Bürgerkommers as the Kick-off
The Bürgerkommers on Friday evening (from 7 p.m.) is a Burgwedel specialty: a festive event with speeches, honors, a shared meal, and musical accompaniment, which appropriately opens the marksmen's festival. Tickets for the Kommers are available in advance.

Festival Grounds and Großburgwedel
The festival grounds in Großburgwedel offer a festival tent, amusement rides, a shooting range, and gastronomic stands. Burgwedel is easily accessible via the B 3 federal road and the S-Bahn line S 6 (Großburgwedel station).
