Anniversary Schützenfest for the 75th Anniversary of the Schützengilde — from August 7, 2026
The Schützengilde Faßberg e.V. is celebrating its 75th club anniversary in 2026. Founded shortly after World War II in a town shaped by the British Air Force and later the Bundeswehr air base, the club has developed into a fixture in Faßberg's community life over three generations. The 2026 anniversary will be celebrated with a particularly elaborate festival design — going beyond the usual Schützenfest format with additional program items, guests of honor, and a dignified commemorative publication.
The municipality of Faßberg is known regionally as a Bundeswehr location and former NATO air base: A significant portion of the supply flights during the Berlin Airlift in 1948/49 started from here. The Schützengilde grew during this post-war period and is now part of the rich club life, which also includes the local heritage society, sports clubs, and the Faßberg support association.
Shooting culture is deeply rooted in the region. The club is a member of the Kreisschützenverband Celle (KSV) and maintains close relationships with neighboring clubs. Numerous friendly clubs are expected at the big parade for the 2026 anniversary festival. The traditional king's court with king, queen, knights, and retinue is at the center of the customs.
The anniversary Schützenfest begins on August 7, 2026, and extends over several days with an expanded festival program: a gala ceremony to kick things off, the king's shoot, a large anniversary parade with honor guards, festival balls, a family day, and a special morning pint. Dance bands and DJs will provide musical accompaniment in the festival tent. The Schützengilde invites all citizens of Faßberg and shooters from the district to celebrate.
The exact program for the 75th anniversary will be published by the Schützengilde Faßberg in the summer of 2026. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years, with anniversary extensions:
Faßberg is located in the Celle district, in the Südheide region. Arrive via the B 71 (Soltau–Uelzen) or the A 7 (Bispingen/Soltau-Ost exit). Parking is available at the Schützenplatz and in the surrounding area.
Admission prices for the dance and anniversary balls are available on-site. The parade and morning pint are free to attend. Detailed prices and tickets are available from the Schützengilde Faßberg.
The Sunday parade is particularly worthwhile for the anniversary: many visiting shooting clubs and marching bands are announced. A commemorative publication for the 75th anniversary is expected.
