Unlike the larger Wunstorf districts, Blumenau celebrates its Schützenfest in a condensed format on just one Saturday in September. With this date, the club concludes the Wunstorf shooting season 2026 — a season that, with seven local festivals, is among the most intensive in the Hanover region.

One Festival Day — All Elements

The one-day format necessitates concentration. Within a single festival day, all essential program elements of a Lower Saxony Schützenfest are held: the morning or late morning King's Shoot, the reception of clubs and monarchs, the festive parade through the district with marching bands and shooting club contingents, the crowning of the new monarchs in the afternoon, and the evening dance in the festival tent or the local shooting club house. This dense schedule makes the festival in Blumenau a particularly intense experience.
