Tradition with New Dynamics
After a break of several years, the Bad Nenndorf marksmen's club successfully revived its Schützenfest in 2022. Since then, the festival has been celebrated annually on a weekend in July – an important date for the spa town, which is already experiencing an extraordinary event year with its State Garden Show in 2026. Frank Gerdau was proclaimed marksmen's king in 2025 and leads the club until the new king is chosen in the summer of 2026.

Friday often features a dance evening with a live band. Saturday is dedicated to the king's shooting, the grand parade through Bad Nenndorf, and the festive proclamation. Sunday concludes with a morning pint (Frühschoppen), family day, and the king's breakfast.
