The Schützenverein Ankum is the organizer of the most important traditional festival in the municipality of the same name. The traditional Schützenplatz am Brunning in Ankum is the venue. For generations, the Schützenplatz has been the festival center for the Ankum marksmen and offers the optimal infrastructure for a traditional festival of this magnitude.

Classic Schützenfest Program

As is customary at the major Schützenfeste in the northern Osnabrück region, the festival includes a complete traditional program: Gala evening with a dance night, bird shooting contest, shooting for honorary shields, parade through Ankum with fanfares and marching bands, proclamation of the new royal couple, king's dinner, festival ball, morning pint, and family day.
