Schlosskonzertreihe Schloss Bevern

Schloss Bevern, a Weser Renaissance castle, is considered one of the most important Renaissance structures in Northern Germany. Its magnificent castle chapel and idyllic courtyard provide the setting for a concert series curated with great care each year by the Friends of Schloss Bevern association. In 2026, the season comprises eleven concerts spread throughout the year.

Season Opener with Rabea

The season kicks off on March 14, 2026, with Rabea and her program of cello-alternative-pop. This fusion of classical instrumentation and contemporary songwriting culture is programmatic for the entire series: high-quality music that doesn't confine itself to a single genre.

Diversity of Styles

On April 26th, the Frackophoniker will follow with their program "Stormy Weather," dedicated to the songs of the 1930s and 1940s. In May, the Hochstiftmusikanten will present an open-air folk music highlight, and in July, Classic Brass will enchant the castle courtyard. The Börner Blues BigBand will bring blues, soul, and groove to the stage on August 30th, and the Schmuck clarinet trio will guide the audience through a program from "Classical to Jazz" on December 27th.

Castle Chapel and Courtyard

Depending on the weather, concerts will take place in the acoustically excellent castle chapel or in the picturesque castle courtyard. The castle chapel, one of the oldest interiors of the castle, allows for intimate concerts with excellent sound quality. The castle courtyard, especially during the summer months, offers an open-air backdrop that provides a special experience for the audience under the open sky.

Commitment of the Friends Association

The Friends of Schloss Bevern association is committed to the cultural programming of the castle on a voluntary basis. The concert series is one of its most important projects and, through affordable ticket prices ranging from 17 to 24 Euros, makes high-quality music accessible to a broad audience.
