Seven-day summer town festival in Ägidiuspark – over 20 bands on two stages, free admission
The Neusäß Stadtfest has developed into one of the most visited summer events in the Augsburg district in recent years. Over seven festival days, spread across two consecutive weekends, the town of Neusäß presents a dense cultural program with free admission – a concept the town consciously pursues to make the event a civic festival for everyone.
The focus of the festival is the Ägidiuspark with its central open-air stage. A second stage will be set up in the traffic-calmed Remboldstraße. Over 20 regional and national bands, as well as numerous dance and sports groups from Neusäß and the surrounding area, provide a diverse musical program – from rock and pop to Schlager and folk music, jazz, soul, and cover bands. DJ sets will also be featured in the late evening hours.
The Stadtfest has an extensive family and children's area – an important hallmark of the event. Activities include face painting, illuminated LED walk-acts, a tractor show with old tractors from the region, and a toy swap pavilion where children can trade, donate, or take used toys. Interactive activity stations complement the program.
A wide selection of food and drinks is provided by local clubs, restaurateurs, and national vendors: regional Swabian-Bavarian specialties, international street food offerings, vegetarian and vegan options, regional beers and wines, non-alcoholic drinks, and ice cream. The culinary diversity aims to reflect the entire spectrum of Neusäß's food culture.
Neusäß is a town with a good 22,000 inhabitants in the Augsburg district in Swabia (State of Bavaria) and is located directly northwest of the city of Augsburg, at the transition between the Augsburg region and the hilly Augsburg – Western Woods Nature Park. As a growing medium-sized town, Neusäß has a vibrant club and cultural scene, which is particularly impressively showcased at the Stadtfest – over 1,000 participating helpers from local clubs, schools, and initiatives form the backbone of the event.
First festival weekend from Saturday, July 4th, to Sunday, July 6th. Festival opening in Ägidiuspark, with the first bands on the main stage until midnight. Second festival weekend from Friday, July 10th, to Sunday, July 13th, with the denser music program and the family day on Sunday.
Over 20 bands will perform over the seven festival days on two stages. Genres range from rock and pop to Schlager, folk music, and jazz, to cover bands and DJ sets in the late evening hours.
Free admission. Food and drinks at the club and street food stands at typical town festival prices. Payment by cash or card depending on the vendor.
