Schützenfest Eldingen

Over 160 Years of Schützen Tradition

The Schützengesellschaft Eldingen from 1862 e.V. looks back on over 160 years of history and is one of the most traditional clubs in the eastern district of Celle. Eldingen, as a district of the Eldingen municipality, is located in the landscape of the Südheide and, together with Eldingen, Beedenbostel, and other villages, shapes the rural center of the district.

Three Days of Program

The Schützenfest runs from Friday to Sunday and combines the classic program points of a North German Schützenfest:

• Festival parade through the town with all shooting clubs, marching band, and fanfare band
• King's shooting and king's proclamation
• Festival tent with catering, live music, and dancing
• Children's Schützenfest with its own program
• Morning pint on Sunday
• Grand Zapfenstreich (final ceremony) to conclude
• Accompanying snacks, catering, and small amusement rides

Village Community

The Schützenfest in Eldingen is not a major tourist event, but a village celebration with high participation from families, clubs, and neighbors. Anyone who wants to experience an authentic village Schützenfest in the Lüneburg Heath is welcome here.
