Kölscher Rock in front of the historic castle backdrop above the Wupper
When Kasalla plays on the Schlossplatz of Schloss Burg an der Wupper on June 13, 2026, two cultural identities of North Rhine-Westphalia meet: the Rhenish dialect and the Bergisch castle tradition. The Cologne band — known for hits like “Pirate”, “Stadt mit K” and “Alle Jläser huh” — is at the forefront of the Kölsch dialect scene and has been filling large stages throughout the Rhineland for years.
Schloss Burg is the largest reconstructed castle complex in North Rhine-Westphalia and sits high above the Wupper. The medieval castle was rebuilt in the late 19th century by architect Gerhard August Fischer in the Historicist style and is now a museum, wedding venue, restaurant, and open-air stage. The Schlossplatz / Schlossparkplatz directly in front of the castle transforms into a spectacular concert arena on some summer evenings.
The concert starts at 7:30 PM and lasts until 9:00 PM. It is a standing-only concert — no seated areas. Drinks, bratwurst, potato pancakes, and other snacks will be offered on the Schlossplatz. The atmosphere is familiar: many repeat visitors, a devoted Kasalla community, and of course, fans from Solingen and the Bergisches Land who only have to drive a few minutes for a live experience.
A special feature of this concert: The concert will be interpreted in sign language by Aline Ackers — a conscious step towards inclusion for deaf fans. For wheelchair users and people with a disability pass (indicator B), a companion is admitted free of charge, which can be booked by email via [email protected].
Tickets are available through the Schloss Burg shop system, Eventim, Ticketonline, and other advance booking platforms. Adults €39, children up to 12 years old discounted €20. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. With a capacity of around 1,800 fans, the concert is intimate enough for a personal atmosphere and large enough for a real festival feeling.
Solingen is known worldwide as the City of Blades — knives, scissors, and blades have been manufactured here for centuries. The independent city of Solingen is located in the Bergisches Land region of North Rhine-Westphalia, south of Wuppertal and northeast of Cologne. Schloss Burg is Solingen's cultural and tourist landmark and is accessible via the historic suspension railway from Burg an der Wupper.
The Kölsch band Kasalla is playing one of its big summer concerts in 2026 on the Schlossplatz Solingen. The concert is part of the open-air series at Schloss Burg, which brings several Kölsch and national acts to the Schlossplatz every year. The event is organized together with Solingen-Live.
Tickets: Adults €39.00, children up to 12 years old discounted €20.00. Wheelchair users and persons with a disability pass (indicator B): regular ticket plus one free companion, whose ticket must be requested by email at [email protected].
By car: A1 or A3, then follow signs for Schloss Burg. Free parking is available at the hiking parking lots along Talsperrenstraße and at the fire station. By public transport: Buses from Solingen and Remscheid towards Burg, plus the seasonal suspension railway from Müngsten or Burg an der Wupper.
Adults: €39.00. Children up to 12 years (discounted): €20.00. Tickets available via schlossburg.de, Eventim, Solingen-Live, among others. Wheelchair users with companion (B): companion ticket can be booked via email at [email protected].
Arrive early — standing spots close to the stage are in high demand. Combine your visit with a castle tour during the day.
