Northern Germany's largest Schlager open-air at the Karl May Games stage
The Freilichtbühne am Kalkberg in Bad Segeberg is known nationwide as the venue for the Karl May Games. In spring, before the Karl May season begins, the monumental natural stage transforms into a Schlager arena: The Schlagernacht am Kalkberg has long been a fixture in the Schlager scene's calendar and one of the season openers for open-air concerts in the north.
The 2026 Schlagernacht line-up brings together some of the most sought-after names in the German-speaking Schlager scene:
The evening will be hosted by presenter Pascal Krieger.
Bad Segeberg is located in the Segeberg district, centrally between Hamburg and Kiel. The Kalkberg is the city's landmark — a 91 m high gypsum peak of volcanic origin, in whose rock basin the famous open-air stage is nestled. Over 10,000 spectator seats, an impressive stage set, and the unmistakable atmosphere of a real amphitheater make the venue unique.
The Schlagernacht fits into the series of events in the Segeberg district — one of the most musically active regions in Schleswig-Holstein, which regularly hosts several Karl May Games concerts (Roland Kaiser, Helene Fischer, etc.) and the Schleswig-Holstein Proms Festival.
Under the motto "Der Kalkberg tanzt!", the famous natural stage in Bad Segeberg's Kalkberg will transform into a Schlager arena on May 2, 2026. Organizers Förde Show Concept and Seaside Touring are bringing a packed program with stars from five decades of Schlager to the stage — from Schlager legend Michael Holm to Mallorca star Isi Glück.
Instead of a single main act, several stars perform in quick succession on stage, playing their mega-hits — compact, without long breaks, with a high sing-along factor. The Karl May Games stage and its natural backdrop set the spectacle in scene; up to 10,000 Schlager fans turn the amphitheater floor into a dancing crowd.
The exact performance order will be communicated by the organizer a few days before the concert via the official event page.
Tickets from around €75 (standing room/category 4) via Eventim, Ticketonline, Kölnticket. Higher categories (seats, front rows, VIP) are more expensive and usually sell out quickly.

The weather in the north can be unpredictable in early May — bring a rain jacket and warm clothing. Umbrellas are usually not allowed in the open-air theater. In case of extreme weather, events will be postponed — information at kalkberg-events.de.
