Saarbrücken's Open-Air Summer on an Industrial Wasteland with Character
The SB Open Airs are the summer concert series of the state capital Saarbrücken in the heart of Saarland. Organized by SAAREVENT and Garage Saarbrücken, the concerts take place on the open-air grounds behind the legendary E-Werk on Bleichstraße – a former industrial architecture that has now become one of the most exciting venues in western Germany.
High-Caliber Bookings, Urban Setting
The series brings several headliner concerts to Saarland every July: German pop, rap, Schlager rap, reggae, and electronic music alternate. In 2026, Wincent Weiss, SDP, Tream, and Luciano are among those scheduled. This positions Saarbrücken as an important tour stop between the Rhine-Main region and the French border.
The Open-Air Grounds Behind the E-Werk
The grounds at Dr.-Tietz-Straße 14 / Bleichstraße 11-15 offer an intimate atmosphere for 2,000 to 5,000 people per concert – large enough for a real open-air vibe, small enough to be up close. Connection to the Saarbahn and city bus lines 102, 108, 122, and 129 makes travel uncomplicated.
Garage, E-Werk, and Saarevent – An Organizer Network
Behind the SB Open Airs is SAAREVENT, the largest private organizer in Saarland. Garage Saarbrücken (one of the region's best-known clubs) and E-Werk belong to the same network. The Open Airs complement the year-round program and make Saarbrücken one of western Germany's concert destinations in midsummer.
More Than Concerts – The Extras
Food trucks, bars, and a festive atmosphere characterize the evening. Since the grounds are located directly in the city center, the concert evening can be perfectly combined with a stroll through the Nauwieser Viertel or a walk along the Saar.
SB Open Airs — edition 2026
Organized by SAAREVENT / Garage Saarbrücken. The concerts take place on the open-air grounds at Bleichstraße 11-15 / Dr.-Tietz-Straße 14, right in the state capital. Doors open at 6:00 PM each day, start times between 7:30 PM and 8:00 PM depending on the artist.

Prices SB Open Airs 2026
Tickets start at approx. €39 per concert (standing room), up to approx. €79 depending on the artist. Multi-day tickets are not offered – individual tickets available via saarevent.com and Eventim.

Getting There
Train: Saarbrücken Hauptbahnhof, from there a 10-minute walk or take the Saarbahn (stations Landwehrplatz or Trierer Straße). Car: A620 exit Saarbrücken-Mitte. Saarbrücken-Ensheim Airport approx. 15 km away.
Parking
Limited parking available at the venue, several parking garages within walking distance (Kongresshalle, Hauptbahnhof, Europa-Galerie).
Tickets
On sale via saarevent.com and Eventim. Early bird rates recommended, popular concerts regularly sell out.
Accommodation
Hotels around the main train station and the St. Johanner Markt district (Hotel Mercure, Leonardo, Bristol). Private accommodation via Airbnb in the Altstadt.
Tip
If attending multiple concerts over a weekend, consider an extended stay in Saarbrücken with a visit to the Saarländisches Staatstheater or the Völklinger Hütte World Heritage Site.
