Schlager-Pop under the open sky in Sauerlandpark Hemer — Kick-off of the 2026 Open Air series
Ben Zucker is one of the most successful Schlager crossover voices of the late 2010s and 2020s: a smoky, gravelly voice, pop songs with rock roots, lyrics full of zest for life. He became known in 2017 with "Was für eine geile Zeit"; since then, he has repeatedly reached the Top 10 of the German album charts. His album "Kämpferherz" (2023) gives his current tour its name. Those who experience him live hear a singer who knows his audience — and gets back what he gives.
Sauerlandpark Hemer, Friday, June 26, 2026, 7:30 PM. Kick-off of the three-day Sauerlandpark Open Air Series 2026:
The Sauerlandpark Hemer is a 21-hectare landscape park created for the 2010 State Garden Show and has since served as a venue and recreational area. The Grohe Forum in the center of the park is an open-air concert area with a capacity for several thousand visitors. Over the years, a remarkably well-programmed open-air series has been established here — with the ambition of bringing big-city level concerts to the Westphalian Sauerland.
The concert grounds are accessible with reserved wheelchair spaces on an elevated platform. Cashless system: Payment is by Giro, Visa, or Mastercard, or alternatively via a value card (€2.50 deposit). All types of backpacks and bags larger than DIN A4 are prohibited — limited storage available for €8. Parking €10 per vehicle, with dedicated spots for people with disabilities.
Hemer, with just under 35,000 inhabitants, is located in the Märkischer Kreis district in the western Sauerland — Iserlohn is next door, the Ruhr area is twenty minutes away. Here, culture has been structural policy since the State Garden Show: Sauerlandpark is intended to make the city visible, generate event tourism, and enable regional added value. The open-air program proves that this is working — Schlager, pop, and Mallorca sounds find their audience in the Westphalian low mountain range.
Sauerlandpark Hemer, Grohe Forum. By train to Iserlohn, from there take bus 25 or 26 to Hemer Mitte, then walk for about 10 minutes. By car via the A46 (Hemer exit). Parking €10 per vehicle.
