Free open-air concerts every Wednesday from 7:30 PM at the Boemundhof — Season April to October
The Saarburg Riverside Concerts is one of the oldest concert series on the Mosel and Saar rivers. For years, the Boemundhof — a centrally located courtyard in the heart of Saarburg — has opened its doors every Wednesday evening from April to October for free open-air concerts. The organizer is the Verkehrs- und Verschönerungsverein (VVV) Saarburg (Traffic and Beautification Association), which has established the series as location marketing for the wine and tourism town.
The concerts in 2026 start on Wednesday, April 3rd, and run every Wednesday until October 31st. The season calendar includes 30 dates — a rare frequency for a Mosel concert series. Start time is always 7:30 PM. The concept appeals to locals as well as day-trippers who want to stop in Saarburg in the evening.
A special feature is the 'Winzer des Monats': Each month, a different Saarburg winery serves its wines. The 2026 calendar order: April Weingut Appel, May Peter Burens, June Otto Minn (Ockfen), July Forstmeister Geltz-Zilliken, August Schloss Saarstein (Serrig), September Dr. Wagner, October Peter Greif (Feller). This allows regular guests to get to know a wide range of Saar wines over the season.
The musical spectrum is deliberately broad. Selection for the summer months: July 1st Musikverein Beurig, July 8th Bauers Brass Band, July 15th Rambling Rovers, July 22nd Emotions, July 29th Soul Cantina, August 5th Fooling Around, August 12th Musikverein Saarburg. Brass, Rock, Soul, Folk — the series emphasizes diversity and provides performance opportunities for both local associations and regional bands.
The 2026 series is organized by VVV Saarburg and is a central part of the Saarburg summer season. The weekly frequency and free admission make the format one of the most reliable Mosel concert series.
Specific concert program for the remaining months as well as weather information (alternative venue in case of rain) will be published by the organizer on the official website.
