25th Open-Air Concert with a Clear Stance Against Hate, Discrimination, and Exclusion
Rock gegen Rechts Oldenburg has been a central format in the city's political concert calendar for a quarter of a century. The event combines live music with a clear anti-fascist statement and draws a diverse audience to Schlossplatz every year.
With its 25th edition in 2026, the festival reaches an important anniversary. Since the early 2000s, it has established itself in Oldenburg and maintained its position through politically changing times.
The motto summarizes the event's programmatic focus. Anti-racism, combating anti-Semitism, advocating for queer visibility, and solidarity with those affected by discrimination are the guiding principles. Between bands, representatives from initiatives, trade unions, and counseling centers will speak.
The choice of date, April 30th – the eve of Labour Day – is intentional. The DGB-Youth Weser-Ems is the organizer and links the festival with the May Day rallies on the following day. It starts at 7 PM.
The DGB-Youth Weser-Ems is the main organizer, supported by numerous local initiatives and bands. Funding comes from donations, the trade union youth's own resources, and small grants.
Admission is free. Donations to cover costs and support anti-fascist initiatives are welcome.
The 2026 anniversary edition continues the political festival format. The order of bands and speakers will be communicated in advance by DGB-Youth Weser-Ems.
Schlossplatz, 26122 Oldenburg.
Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 7 PM.
