10th Anniversary Edition at the new Weserpark location with Dritte Wahl and Setyøursails
Rock for Tolerance was founded in 2016 and has consistently positioned itself from the outset against racism, discrimination, and group-based misanthropy – and for an open, tolerant society. This political clarity distinguishes the festival from many other open-air events. It is reflected not only in the festival name but also in the selection of acts, the accompanying program, and collaborations with civil society initiatives.
With its 10th edition, the festival is moving to a new site: the Weserpark Hann. Münden. The park offers more space, better infrastructure, and – for the first time – its own campsite for visitors. The festival is responding to its growing audience and creating the conditions for a full-fledged two-day festival experience with overnight stays.
The acts for the 10th edition cover a broad spectrum. Dritte Wahl is one of Germany's most renowned political punk-rock bands and perfectly aligns with the festival's stance. RAUM27 brings energetic indie-rock. Setyøursails is a German female-fronted metalcore band with international reach. 100 Kilo Herz plays catchy punk-rock. LE FLY brings ska-punk-reggae energy. Watch Out Stampede are metalcore. Focus, SENTA, and Jonny Karacho complete the lineup.
Tickets are available from 19 Euros. A special feature is the free admission for children under 16 and adults over 65. This positions the festival as a cross-generational event and underscores the spirit of tolerance in its ticketing policy.
The location at Weserpark in Hann. Münden – at the border between Lower Saxony and Hesse, at the confluence of the Werra and Fulda rivers forming the Weser – creates a geographical link between Northern Germany, Hesse, and the Southern German festival scene. This attracts audiences from several federal states, positioning it as a supra-regional event.
The anniversary edition marks a significant step in the festival's development. The move to Weserpark and the introduction of the campsite combine growing ambition with improved infrastructure. The festival can now offer a full two-day open-air experience with overnight accommodation options – a crucial step for its future growth.
The lineup reflects the festival's identity well: political punk-rock with Dritte Wahl as headliner, energetic indie with RAUM27, international metalcore with Setyøursails, catchy punk-rock with 100 Kilo Herz, and crossover energy with LE FLY. This allows the festival to appeal to both fans of political music and a broader open-air audience.
