Summer Festival by the Water

Rinteln's Old Harbour is located directly on the Weser river, framed by the historic old town and the green riverbank landscape. When the Vereinigte Chöre Rinteln invite you to the Hafenfest in July, this place transforms into a summery festival backdrop with a stage, standing tables, food stalls, and music. The maritime atmosphere gives the festival its unmistakable character and clearly distinguishes it from other Rinteln town festivals.

10th Edition

With the 2026 edition, the Vereinigte Chöre Rinteln are celebrating the festival's tenth anniversary. What began in 2016 as an idea by a few dedicated choir members has developed into a firm fixture in Rinteln's summer calendar. The anniversary will be celebrated with special programme items, the details of which will be announced by the Vereinigte Chöre in advance.

Choral Singing and Live Music

Choirs and bands from Rinteln and the wider region perform on stage. The Vereinigte Chöre themselves, as the host ensemble, contribute a significant part of the programme. In addition, other music groups provide variety – from shanty choirs with a maritime connection to pop and rock bands and classical vocal performances.

Gastronomy and Atmosphere

Bratwurst, fries, salads, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks are offered at stalls. Long beer tables and benches invite visitors to linger by the water. As dusk falls, the play of light reflections on the Weser lends the festival a particularly atmospheric touch.
