Music by the Sea
PierSession is an open-air music event in the Baltic Sea resort of Binz on the island of Rügen, in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen (state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern). The venue is the beach right next to the Binz pier — one of the resort's landmarks. Here, electronic music and a maritime backdrop meet: the beats mix with the sound of the Baltic Sea.
From Beach Day to Dance Night
The concept of PierSession plays with the course of the day. During the day, a relaxed beach club atmosphere prevails — loungers, sun, laid-back sounds. In the early evening, the mood shifts: DJs take over, and the beach transforms into an open-air dance floor. The musical spectrum ranges from melodic Deep House to driving Techno, Progressive, and Ambient.
Laser Show and Fireworks
Among the visual highlights of PierSession are laser shows on both festival days. On Saturday evening, after sunset, a fireworks display is added, rising over the sea in sync with the music. This staging makes PierSession an experience that combines music, light, and the natural backdrop of the Baltic Sea.
Summer in Binz
The Baltic Sea resort of Binz, with its resort architecture, long promenade, and pier, is Rügen's largest seaside resort. PierSession is part of Binz's summer event calendar and is aimed at anyone who wants to experience electronic music in a relaxed setting right on the beach. Admission is free.

PierSession 2026 invites you to the beach next to the Binz pier on Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20. During the day, there's a relaxed beach club atmosphere, and from early evening, DJ sets and live music set the tone.
The musical program combines melodic Deep House, driving Techno, and Progressive. On both festival days, a laser show provides visual highlights, and on Saturday evening, fireworks rise over the Baltic Sea in sync with the music after sunset. Admission is free.
