The 18th edition of the Pfrontener Trachtenmarkt invites you on Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day around the St. Nikolaus parish hall in Pfronten-Ried. Over 50 exhibitors will present Dirndl, Lederhosen, traditional costume jewelry, traditional knives, fabrics, knitwear, and everything related to Allgäu traditional costume.
Folk music and folk dance will accompany the market activities in the indoor and outdoor areas throughout the day. On Saturday, the Rückholz music band will perform a concert, and on Sunday, the Pfronten Harmonie music band with alphorn blowers will perform; local traditional costume groups will also appear. The traditional costume fashion show will take place on Sunday at 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM at Alpenstyle Mode.Tradition.Schneiderei. Free traditional costume advice will be available on both days. The special exhibition "Tracht und Outdoor" will run from August 1 to 16, 2026, in various sports shops. Admission is free.

Getting There
Pfronten is located in the Ostallgäu district at the foot of the Allgäu Alps. The market takes place in Pfronten-Ried around the St. Nikolaus parish hall (Dr.-Kohnle-Weg 1), about 300 meters from the Pfronten-Ried train station. It is easily accessible by train via the Kempten–Pfronten–Reutte line.
