41st Pfortzer Lindenblütenfest Maximiliansau

The Pfortzer Lindenblütenfest Maximiliansau has been a fixture in the festival calendar of the Wörth district of Maximiliansau since the 1980s. The organizer is the Musikverein Harmonie Maximiliansau, one of the oldest and most active associations in the district. The association name Pfortzer derives from the historical designation of the region on the Pfortzer Altrhein.

Venue Tullawiese

The Tullawiese is located on the edge of the district and is named after the Baden water engineer Johann Gottfried Tulla, who carried out the Rhine regulation in the region in the 19th century. With its old linden trees and proximity to the water, the meadow offers a particularly beautiful setting for a summer festival – the blooming linden trees give the festival its name.

Program

Saturday begins in the late afternoon at 5:00 PM with the opening of the marquee operations, followed by an evening concert by the Musikverein Harmonie and friendly ensembles from the region. Sunday begins at 11:30 AM with the traditional Frühschoppen with brass music, which is the real highlight of the festival and brings families from the entire district together. In the afternoon, the stage program continues with further concerts, and the festival winds down in a relaxed manner in the evening.

Catering

The music association provides catering with classic specialties: Bratwurst, steak, fries, salads, coffee and cake on Sunday afternoon, along with Palatinate beer on tap and Palatinate wine.
