Three Days of Pentecost in the Goldene Aue

Brücken is a district of the municipality Brücken-Hackpfüffel in the Goldene Aue collective municipality, located in the very south of Saxony-Anhalt, right on the border with Thuringia. Here — at the Brücken sports field — the local association celebrates a classic three-day Pentecost festival every year. Pentecost Dance on Friday evening, Pentecost Beat on Saturday evening, Frühschoppen with brass music on Pentecost Sunday — a compact program structure that has found its audience for years.

The organizer is the Goldene Aue collective municipality, which comprises five member municipalities. Brücken-Hackpfüffel is one of them. The Goldene Aue is a fertile lowland between the Helme and the Thuringian Forest — a rather rural region whose village communities passionately maintain their summer festivals.
