A Pentecost Festival of Superlatives
What began in 1973 in a small district of Ammerland is now one of Lower Saxony's most famous open-air events: the Pfingsten Frühtanz Tange annually attracts over 25,000 visitors to the village of Tange, part of the municipality of Apen in Ammerland. Four stages, a huge festival site, international DJs, and Schlager stars — the Frühtanz has become a brand in itself.
2026 Edition on Pentecost Sunday
The 2026 edition falls on Pentecost Sunday, May 24, starting at 10 AM. Four stages will be in action: the Malle-Halle for classic Mallorca hits, the Bretterbude for Schlager and Apres-Ski, the Kuhstall-Bühne for Ammerland local flavor, and the Black-Area for harder electronic sounds.
2026 Lineup — Prominently Cast
The confirmed 2026 lineup includes, among others, Paul Elstak (hardstyle pioneer from the Netherlands), Ikke Hüftgold (Mallorca Schlager icon), ISI Glück (Ballermann power), Acina, and numerous other acts. The final list will be continuously updated on tange-fruehtanz.de.
Practical Information and Atmosphere
The Frühtanz is accessible to those aged 16 and over. Tickets are available exclusively in advance at a flat rate of €39.95 — there is no box office. The festival grounds in the Tange district are generously sized; shuttle buses from the Apen, Edewecht, Westerstede, and Oldenburg regions will bring guests to and from the event.
