One of Germany's largest Eastern vehicle meet-ups
Trabant, Wartburg, Simson, MZ, and more — vehicles from GDR industrial history have experienced an astonishing cultural rediscovery in recent years. "Ost-Feeling — Eens zu Fuffzsch am Ring" draws thousands of these vehicles and their owners annually to the DEKRA Lausitzring in southern Brandenburg. The meet-up positions itself not as a nostalgia event, but as a serious preservation of industrial memory — combined with genuine motorsport competition on the track.
The event's hallmark is the 660-minute endurance test for Trabant vehicles — an 11-hour test of endurance on the Lausitzring's Grand Prix circuit. Which Trabant configurations will last 11 hours? Who will complete the most laps? These questions transform the event into a true motorsport occasion, where the GDR heritage is understood not as folkloric embellishment, but as active racing machinery.
In addition, collector clubs, workshops, and individual drivers present their Trabants, Wartburgs, Simsons, and mopeds on the show grounds. Originals, restoration projects, tuned versions, and Tatra or Robur trucks — everything that defines GDR vehicle culture is represented here. Accompanying events include lectures, spare parts markets, and competitions.
The Lausitzring in Klettwitz (municipality of Schipkau, district of Oberspreewald-Lausitz) is one of Germany's most modern motorsport facilities and home to the DTM. With events like L8 Night and the Truck & Country Festival, the track has established a broad profile — Ost-Feeling is perhaps its most distinctive own brand and firmly anchored in the Ring's event calendar.
"Ost-Feeling — Eens zu Fuffzsch am Ring" 2026 will take place on Saturday, June 6th, 2026, at the DEKRA Lausitzring in Klettwitz (municipality of Schipkau). The organizers are the DEKRA Lausitzring and the Ost-Feeling organizing committee. The event's hallmark is the 660-minute Trabant endurance test on the Grand Prix circuit — an 11-hour test of endurance for Trabant vehicles, clearly distinguishing the meet-up from a mere classic car rally. In addition, collector clubs, workshops, and individual drivers will present IFA vehicles such as Trabant, Wartburg, Simson, MZ mopeds, Robur, and Tatra trucks. Spare parts markets, lectures, and small competitions round off the program.
