Equestrian Tournament with a Long Tradition
The Pferdesporttage Wusterhusen are hosted by the Zucht-, Reit- und Fahrverein Wusterhusen e.V. (Stud, Riding and Driving Club Wusterhusen) on the club's own riding grounds and are among the oldest and largest equestrian tournaments in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district. For many decades, the tournament has earned a firm place in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania's equestrian calendar.
Dressage and Show Jumping
Numerous competition classes are on the program for a June weekend – about a dozen dressage competitions and more than a dozen show jumping competitions across all performance levels. This offers both junior riders and experienced athletes a wide range of opportunities to compete.
District Championship and VG Cup
The sporting centerpiece is the district championship in dressage and show jumping of the Vorpommern-Greifswald District Riding Association. In addition, there are the VG Cup competitions, where riders compete for regional trophies. A vaulting demonstration showcases the gymnastic side of equestrian sport and is particularly popular with young spectators.

Wusterhusen is located in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district, near the Baltic Sea coast and the Greifswalder Bodden. The Pferdesporttage combine sporting competition with a village festival atmosphere and are a popular weekend destination for horse lovers and families from the region.
Pferdesporttage Wusterhusen — edition 2026
On June 13th and 14th, 2026, the Zucht-, Reit- und Fahrverein Wusterhusen will host the 55th Pferdesporttage on the riding grounds.
The program includes about a dozen dressage competitions and more than a dozen show jumping competitions. Highlights include the district championships in dressage and show jumping of the Vorpommern-Greifswald District Riding Association, as well as the VG Cup competitions. A vaulting demonstration complements the tournament program.

Getting There
By car via the B111 towards Wolgast, turn off to Wusterhusen; the riding grounds are signposted locally. Vorpommern-Greifswald, near Lubmin.
Date and Admission
A weekend in June, Saturday and Sunday. Admission: Adults 3 Euros, Children 2 Euros per day; combined ticket 5 or 3 Euros respectively. Current announcements via the Wusterhusen Riding Club.
Tip
The vaulting demonstration and the show jumping competitions on Sunday offer plenty of spectacle, even for equestrian sport beginners.
