Prümer Pferdemarkt (Autumn)

The Prümer Pferdemarkt in autumn is the second annual edition of the established equestrian event by the Reitverein Prümer Land e.V. While the spring market takes place in April, the autumn market in October offers a second opportunity for horse breeders, buyers, and interested parties to meet in the Eifel region.

Concept and Format

The autumn horse market is conceptually aligned with the successful spring edition: around 200 horses of all breeds, a continuous riding program from 10 AM to 3 PM, supplementary markets for second-hand equestrian clothing, small animals, and poultry, as well as catering services. The autumn repetition allows for catering to the seasonal needs of horse breeders and buyers – after the summer growth season, many young horses come onto the market.

Horse Breeds

As with the spring market, all horse breeds are represented: riding horses, draft horses, ponies, warmbloods, coldbloods, and special breeds. The market thus covers the full spectrum of equestrian sport and horse ownership interests.

Mehrzweckhalle and Exhibition Grounds

The venue is the Mehrzweckhalle and the exhibition grounds on the B410 / St. Vither Straße, between Prüm and Niederprüm. The hall offers covered space for horse presentations and the market, while the exhibition grounds serve as meeting and turnout areas, as well as for the outdoor market sections.

Reitverein Prümer Land e.V.

With its annual repetition in spring and autumn, the Reitverein Prümer Land e.V. has developed the horse market into a dual event that has become a firm fixture in the Eifel's event calendar. The voluntary commitment of the club members is the foundation of this tradition.

Family Offering

Although the market primarily targets the horse and equestrian scene, it is also an attractive family event: children can experience horses and small animals up close, the riding program offers interesting demonstrations for laypeople, and the catering facilities invite visitors to linger.
