Open-air stage concert with Grand Malör to kick off the Ludwigshafen Pfalzfests in Ebertpark
The Pfalzfest at Ebertpark is a traditional Volksfest organised by LUKOM, which turns the expansive Ebertpark into a meeting point for the entire Vorderpfalz region in the second half of June. Rides, beer tents, culinary stands, and a broad stage programme alternate; the stage programme at the concert shell has been one of the musical highlights of the festival for years.
Grand Malör is a Palatinate dialect rock band that has been filling halls and squares for many years with their mix of rock energy, pop catchiness, and Palatinate lyrics. Their songs tell stories from everyday Palatinate life, process local colour with humour, and resonate with an audience that recognises itself directly in the lyrics. A performance by Grand Malör at a Palatinate Volksfest is therefore more than a concert: it's a homecoming evening with a guaranteed sing-along.
The historic concert shell in Ebertpark offers a unique architectural setting under the open sky. Its open design enhances the sound in the surrounding park, and the natural amphitheatre of lawns and paths allows several thousand visitors to listen and celebrate comfortably.
The Grand Malör concert on June 12th, 2026, marks the musical opening of a concert series as part of the Pfalzfests. Just one week later, on June 18th, a second concert will follow with the rock/pop band Flow Control. Both dates are embedded within the larger framework programme of the Pfalzfests, which in previous years took place over several days and nights in Ebertpark.
The concert dates have been announced by the organiser; details on times, further acts, and possibly tickets will be published in advance by LUKOM and radio partner RPR1. Experience shows that the concerts usually start in the early evening.
