10 Years of Parookaville β The Electronic Festival City Celebrates
Parookaville is Germany's largest electronic music festival and one of Europe's most important EDM festivals. From July 17-19, 2026, the festival celebrates its 10th anniversary at Weeze Airport (Flughafen-Ring 200, 47652 Weeze). Three days, 225,000 visitors, over 300 artists, more than 10 stages β the format was launched in 2015 and has developed into one of the most distinctive EDM brands worldwide over a decade.
The "Festival City" Concept
What sets Parookaville apart from other festivals is its concept: the festival is not just a stage with camping, but an invented city β the fictional "City of Parookaville." With its own mayor, its own constitution, its own currency in spirit, its own logo, and its own districts. Festival visitors are "Citizens" β residents of the festival city for three days. This narrative layer makes Parookaville more than just a music festival: it's an immersive electronic world with its own mythology.
Headliners 2026 β The Crown of the EDM World
The confirmed headliners for 2026 read like a "best of" of electronic music:
- Armin van Buuren β one of the most influential trance DJs of all time
- Axwell β member of Swedish House Mafia, star of house music
- Charlotte de Witte β Belgian techno queen, one of the most sought-after techno DJs worldwide
- The Chainsmokers β US pop-EDM duo, multiple Grammy nominees
- Fisher β Australian tech-house star
- Hardwell β Dutch EDM maestro
- Scooter β the German hardcore anthem hyper-machine
- Steve Aoki β US EDM showman
Plus numerous other acts on more than 10 stages β Trance, Techno, House, Hardstyle, Bass, EDM-Pop, Drum & Bass. A total of over 300 artists.
Weeze Airport β The Stage
The venue is Weeze Airport β a former British military airfield, now a regional airport in the Lower Rhine region. The vast asphalt areas, hangars, and meadow areas around the airport become the festival city for three days. More than a dozen main stages plus numerous smaller areas and themed worlds will be set up. Camping and glamping areas are directly adjacent to the festival grounds.
Camping and Glamping
Practically all visitors camp on the grounds: this is part of the festival city experience. Various camping options:
- Standard Camping β with your own tent, own equipment
- Glamping β pre-pitched tents, comfort options, Bedded Camps
- Camper Park β for motorhomes and caravans
A dedicated festival app guides you through everything: city map, schedule, Find-a-Friend, cashless wallet.
Strict 18+ Policy
Parookaville is strictly 18+. No entry will be granted to anyone under 18, even if accompanied by an adult. This strict rule is part of the standard EDM festival policy in Germany and makes Parookaville an adult-only festival.
Weeze on the Lower Rhine
Weeze is a small municipality in the Lower Rhine region with around 11,000 inhabitants, in the district of Kleve. Directly on the Dutch border, near Goch and Kleve. Weeze Airport β the main destination for Ryanair and several other low-cost carriers β is the municipality's most important economic structure. Parookaville has turned this location into a festival site: easily accessible via the A57, dedicated flight connections, and vast open spaces.
