Parish Festival Lützel – Maria Hilf and St. Antonius

The Pfarrfest Lützel has been a firm fixture in the event calendar of the Koblenz district on the left bank of the Rhine for years. The organizers are the two Catholic parish communities Maria Hilf and St. Antonius, who jointly host the festival, thus making visible how closely church community work in Lützel is interwoven with district life.

A Festival Day Around the Parish Church

The venue is the Maria Hilf Parish Church at Mayener Straße 82 and the surrounding parish grounds. The festival begins with a family service, which is musically and child-friendly designed. Afterwards, the catering stands of the parish communities open, offering a warm lunch buffet, salads, sausages, coffee, and a rich cake buffet – almost everything is homemade and donated by community members.

Program for Children and Families

The two daycare centers Maria Hilf and St. Antonius present musical or theatrical contributions. In addition, there are game stations, craft activities, a wheel of fortune, and a flea market, the proceeds of which usually go to social projects or the renovation of parish rooms.

Lützel – A District with Church History

The Lützel district in the north of Koblenz looks back on a eventful history. The Maria Hilf parish church, a neo-Romanesque building from the 20th century, forms the spiritual center of the merged parish communities today. The Antonius community in the neighboring part of Lützel complements the parish offerings. The joint festival is symbolic of the ongoing pastoral cooperation.
