Osterwieck is located about 15 km northwest of Halberstadt, in the Harz district, near the state border with Lower Saxony. By car via the B79.

The Osterwieck Pub Night has been firmly anchored in Osterwieck's event calendar since 2013. The concept: Five catering establishments in the historic half-timbered old town join forces and each book a band or musician. With a single ticket, you can enter all participating venues — and stroll from one venue to the next throughout the evening. Four locations include the Eventwerk Osterwieck, plus other rotating participants.

The date is usually a Saturday at the end of April / beginning of May or in March. The program ranges from cover bands and singer-songwriters to Mallorca hits — Marty Kessler, for example, one of the recurring stars of the Pub Night, plays his own songs and the best party hits, schlager, and rock-pop sing-along anthems from the last 30 years. The mix of small-town atmosphere, half-timbered scenery, and pub crawl concept makes the night popular.

Osterwieck is a small town in the Harz district in the state of Saxony-Anhalt — and one of the oldest towns in Germany. First mentioned in 780, it boasts one of the most beautiful half-timbered old towns in Central Germany with around 400 preserved houses. The Pub Night takes place against this backdrop — the short distances between the venues, the cobblestone streets, and the old facades make the evening a small journey through the town's history.
