A Spring Street in Charlottenburg
Leonhardtstraße in Berlin-Charlottenburg is a short, quiet residential street between Charlottenburg S-Bahn station and Lietzenseepark. Once a year, the Berlin association Family & Friends e.V. transforms a section of this street into an artisan Easter market – the fifth edition takes place on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
What Makes the Market Special
The market explicitly sees itself as a lively art mile. On the list of stalls:
- Berlin potters and ceramicists with spring and Easter collections
- Painters with prints, originals, and postcards
- Fashion designers with spring collections
- Jewelry designers from Berlin workshops
- Wine, liqueurs, culinary specialties – including Easter bread, egg liqueur, handmade pralines
- Hat makers Carlos and Gianni (C&G) with Easter hats – a hallmark of the market
- Leather goods by Jandee Schulz made from sustainable materials
The atmosphere is familiar and relaxed – a morning stroll through the market, a cappuccino at one of the adjacent cafés, and the afternoon can be spent in Lietzenseepark.
Charlottenburg and the Family & Friends Network
The Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district is one of Berlin's traditional, bourgeois districts. Charlottenburg, the western part of the city with the University of the Arts, Charlottenburg Palace, the German Opera, and the Kant Stage, has a distinct artisan tradition. Family & Friends e.V. is a Berlin association that nurtures this heritage with small, focused markets – around 15 events annually in the city, from spring markets, Easter markets, and summer wine markets to Advent events. The Leonhardtstraße Easter Market is one of its younger, but already well-established formats.
