Hedersleben — Vorharz in the Harz District
Hedersleben is located in the Harz district in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, between Aschersleben and Halberstadt, on the northern edge of the Harz mountains. The municipality belongs to the Vorharz administrative district and is predominantly agricultural — fitting for the Oldtimer Meet, which is traditionally linked to the Harvest Festival (Erntedankfest). Both events run on the same September weekend and complement each other.
Three Days of Festivities
The meet takes place over three days, Friday to Sunday. Friday: arrival of participants, mechanic talks, communal dinner at the event grounds. Saturday: main festival day with vehicle displays, excursions (tours into the Harz or the Magdeburger Börde), catering, and a musical program with a Harvest Festival focus in the evening. Sunday: morning pint (Frühschoppen), smaller excursions, and winding down.
Oldtimertreffen Hedersleben — edition 2026
The 2026 meet continues the annual tradition. The date follows the pattern of previous years (2023: Sept 29th–Oct 1st, 2025: Sept 19th–21st) and traditionally falls on the 3rd weekend of September. The organizer is Spedition Eckhardt Malkowsky in cooperation with the Oldtimerclub Hedersleben — Dagbert Hentschel has been the key contact for years.
What IFA fans want is offered: three days of mechanic community meet-ups with vehicles of all classes (W50, S 4000, ZT 300, Multicar, IFA passenger cars), excursions into the Harz and the Magdeburger Börde, and on the festival weekend, the Harvest Festival (Erntedankfest) focus with catering by local clubs.

Getting There
By car via the B6 (Halberstadt–Aschersleben) or the B79, then follow signs to Hedersleben. By train to Aschersleben or Halberstadt, then by car/bus.
Admission & Times
Likely the 3rd weekend of September 2026 (Friday to Sunday). Admission for visitors is usually free or a symbolic contribution. Participants with vehicles require pre-registration via the organizer / Oldtimerclub Hedersleben.
Families & Dogs
Very family-friendly — children love the vehicles. Dogs on a leash are welcome.
