Oldtimer & US-Car Meet Emden

Vehicle Show in the City Centre

The Oldtimer- und US-Car-Treffen Emden uses the city as an exhibition space: instead of a confined event on a large field, the historic vehicles are spread across the central squares and streets of the city centre. Stadtgarten, Große Straße, Zwischen Beiden Märkten, and Neuer Markt will be completely open for the show. This approach combines vehicle culture with city centre revitalisation and is particularly attractive for families who can combine a stroll with a visit to the cars.

Classic Oldtimers and US-Cars

The spectrum ranges from German and European classic cars (Opel Manta, VW Beetle, Mercedes Pagoda, Porsche 911 classics) to classic US-Cars (Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Corvette, Cadillac Eldorado, Chrysler 300) and motorcycles, and occasionally classic commercial vehicles. The organisers are the Opel-Freunde Ostfriesland, who have expanded their club's focus to include classic US-Car enthusiasts.

Sunday Shopping

A Sunday shopping event runs concurrently with the meet from 12 PM to 5 PM. The city centre shops will open their doors and offer special promotions. The combination of the vehicle show and shopping makes the day a well-attended city centre highlight in spring.

Children's Activities and Atmosphere

Children's activities will be offered at Neuer Markt (carousel, craft activities, children's taster courses). Coffee and cake will be served to the drivers. The atmosphere is family-friendly and relaxed. Admission is free. The event can be ideally combined with a visit to the preceding festival (2nd Emden Spring Festival on April 11th).
