Three Days of Beer in Ohligs

The Ohligser Bierbörse is Solingen's young summer event — first held in 2024, now established, and in its 3rd edition in 2026. From Friday, June 26th to Sunday, June 28th, 2026, Düsseldorfer Straße in the Solingen district of Ohligs will transform into a three-day open-air beer mile. More than 25 stands will line the city center street, each serving a selection of beers — a total of more than 300 types of beer from around the world.

Belgian Fruit Beers, Czech Pilsners, Bavarian Classics

The selection at the Bierbörse is the whole world in a glass:

  • Belgium: Fruit beers (Kriek, Framboise), Trappist beers, Lambic, Saison
  • Czech Republic: Pilsner Urquell, Budweiser Budvar, dark Hefeweizen
  • Bavaria: Helles, Dunkles, Weißbier, Kellerbier
  • Lower Rhine/NRW: Altbier from Düsseldorf, Kölsch from Cologne
  • International: Irish Stouts, Scottish Ale, Mexican Cerveza, Japanese Sapporo
  • Craft Beer: German and international craft breweries with IPA, Stout, Sour

For beer explorers, this is a delightful world tour — without leaving the Solingen district.

Keg Tapping Friday 6 PM — The Kick-off

The 2026 Bierbörse opens on Friday, June 26th, 2026, at 6:00 PM with the traditional keg tapping by Marc Westkämper, the District Mayor of Solingen. Afterwards, the stands will be open for three days — Friday until midnight, Saturday from 1 PM until midnight, Sunday from 1 PM to 8 PM. The first orders are usually the Belgian classics, and later in the evening, the more experimental craft varieties are tried with curiosity.

Food and Atmosphere

Accompanying the beer are suitable dishes from around the world: German Bratwurst and Currywurst, Belgian fries with mayonnaise, Bavarian pretzels, Czech roast pork, Mediterranean antipasti, Asian specialties. The atmosphere is summery and relaxed: high tables between the stands, beer benches, occasional live music. If you like beer and don't want to get lost in mass formats, this is the place for you — Düsseldorfer Straße is intimate enough that every stand remains accessible.

Free Admission — Solingen Family Festival

Admission is free — you pay per glass (deposit system) or per order. Families are welcome during the day; some stands offer non-alcoholic beer, sodas, and juices. In the evening, the event caters to the after-work crowd and weekend visitors — live atmosphere until midnight.

Ohligs — Solingen's Vibrant District

Ohligs is the western district of Solingen, in the Bergisches Land region. In the 19th century, Ohligs was a railway hub and industrial center — today, it's a lively residential district with its own city center, many cafés, and an active culinary scene. The Bierbörse fits Ohligs' character: down-to-earth, convivial, quality-oriented. Solingen is world-famous as the 'City of Blades' in the Bergisches Land — the Bierbörse contrasts the industrial cliché with festival vibes.

Veranstaltungsbüro Nolden — The Bierbörse Organizers

The organizer is Veranstaltungsbüro Nolden GmbH, an experienced Bierbörse organizer that operates the format in several cities in North Rhine-Westphalia. The quality of the format — curated beer selection, organized deposit system, professional logistics — is one of their strengths.
