Franconia's Wine in the Franconian Metropolis
Nuremberg, a city without a district and the center of Middle Franconia, is the heart of Franconia – and Franconia is one of Germany's most traditional wine regions. The Nürnberger Weinfest brings both together: on the central Jakobsplatz, located between St. Elisabeth Church and Jakobskirche, Franconian vintners present their wines in a relaxed summer atmosphere.
Around 40 Franconian Wines
Approximately 40 different wines from Franconia are available for tasting. Participants include the Melber winery from Rödelsee, the Goger winery from Sand am Main, and from Hammelburg, the Ruppert winery and the organic winery Lange. Visitors can chat with the vintners and other guests, enjoy a glass of Franconian wine, and sample culinary specialties.
