Advent Market in the Town Center

Neuenstadt am Kocher is a small town in the Heilbronn district with just under 8,000 inhabitants, located at the transition between the lower Kocher valley and the Hohenlohe plain. During Advent, the historic town center shows its most beautiful face: On December 5th and 6th, 2026, the Neuenstadt Christmas Market will take place on the market square and main street, organized by the "Wir für Neuenstadt" city marketing association.

Program and Extended Shopping Night

The market opens on Saturday, December 5th, 2026, from 4:00 PM — combined with the Extended Shopping Night, during which the town's shops remain open until 10:00 PM. Those who stroll in the evening can switch between market stalls and shop windows. On Sunday, December 6th, 2026, the market opens from 12:00 PM — the classic Advent Sunday format with lunch and afternoon activities in the market bustle.

Arts and Crafts and Glass Art

The high quality of the arts and crafts is a defining feature of the Neuenstadt market. Glass artists from the region showcase blown and etched glass, jewelry, and Christmas tree ornaments; metalworkers present hand-forged jewelry, candle holders, and decorative objects. In addition, classic Christmas market offerings: roasted almonds, Christmas cookies, gingerbread, mulled wine, and non-alcoholic Advent drinks. A specialty are the Christmas angels who walk among the stalls in the town, distributing gifts to children — a lovely detail that families appreciate.
