Night Hike and Rally
The programme includes a night hike through the forest, allowing participants to experience the beech forest in the dark – with all the sounds and impressions the night in the national park holds. In addition, a mysterious rally leads through the dark exhibition of the National Park Centre. Excitement and a spirit of discovery are at the heart of an evening that appeals to both children and adults.
Jasmund National Park
Jasmund National Park on the island of Rügen, with its ancient beech forests, is part of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage site "Ancient Beech Forests of Germany". The famous chalk cliffs, with the Königsstuhl as their landmark, attract numerous visitors each year. The Königsstuhl National Park Centre, located near Sassnitz in the district of Vorpommern-Rügen in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, uses its exhibition to convey the nature and history of the region.
Nature Experience After Sunset
Events like the Mystery Night show the national park from an unusual perspective. The night in the beech forest is an experience not available during the day – and an impressive example of how environmental education can be combined with excitement and adventure.
