Moorriemer Tractor Meet — Historic Agricultural Machinery in the Rural Community
The Moorriemer Treckertreffen is one of the most distinctive events in Elsfleth's spring calendar. On Eckfleth village square in the Moorriem district, tractor fans and their historic tractor models from several decades gather over a weekend in May. The agriculturally shaped rural community of Moorriem provides the ideal backdrop for a meeting that brings agricultural history to life.
Two Days of Tractor History
From Saturday, May 30, to Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, collectors will present their lovingly restored tractors. Classic brands from Germany and internationally will be represented: Lanz Bulldog, Eicher, Hanomag, Deutz, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Porsche-Diesel, and many more. The range extends from pre-war models to youngtimers from the 1970s and 1980s.
Village Festival Atmosphere
The meet is more than just a specialized event — it's a village festival. Local clubs and neighborhood groups provide catering with coffee, cake, sausages, and refreshments. A small stage, occasional musical performances, and children's activities make the tractor meet attractive for the whole family.
Tractor Parade and Demonstrations
A frequent part of the program is a tractor parade through the Moorriem rural community and demonstrations of the historic machinery — from starting a Lanz Bulldog (with its characteristic hot-bulb procedure) to plowing with old agricultural implements and demonstrations of harvesting machines.
Meeting Point for Collectors and Families
Collectors exchange experiences, and spare parts and knowledge are passed on. Families from Moorriem, Elsfleth, and the surrounding region experience a day from another era — and children are often allowed to sit on one of the historic seats themselves. Free admission.
