A Mediterranean Summer Festival in the Weinsberger Tal

BioWeingut WeinReuter in Leingarten is one of Württemberg's smaller but outstanding organic wineries. The annual Mediterranean Barn Festival is the highlight of the summer in the courtyard: for four days, the barn and garden transform into a scene reminiscent of Provence or Tuscany rather than the rugged slopes of the Weinsberger Tal — tables under olive trees, fairy lights, ambient background music.

Four Days, Three Moods

From Thursday to Saturday, the festival evening begins at 5 PM — wine tasting, culinary pairings, live music, or quiet background sounds depending on the evening. Sunday starts more relaxed at 12 PM and winds down as a leisurely summer day until 8 PM. The atmosphere remains familiar: not a mass event, but a festival supported by the winery itself.

Organic Wines from the Weinsberger Tal

The WeinReuter winery has been certified organic for years and works in harmony with the soil and grape varietals. The wines — Lemberger, Trollinger, Schwarzriesling, Riesling, as well as rare cuvées — are served during the festival and can be tasted directly at the stand. Those who like them can buy bottles to take home.

Leingarten and the Weinsberger Tal

Leingarten is a municipality with just under 12,000 inhabitants west of Heilbronn, nestled in the Weinsberger Tal — one of the central wine-growing regions of the state of Baden-Württemberg. The winery is located slightly outside the town in the hamlet of Riedhöfe, a quiet place that becomes a meeting point for the regional wine scene for four festival days.
