About Martini-Markt

The Martini-Markt transforms the city center of the Sauerland Hanseatic city of Attendorn into a colorful mix of market, funfair, and cozy autumn lounge every year in early November. From November 7th to 8th, 2026, stalls, rides, live music, and a Sunday with open shops will ensure crowded streets. The traditional Attendorn Hanse-Tombola also starts here — a city-specific invention with a long history.

Hanseatic City in Autumn Attire

Attendorn is one of the four Hanseatic cities in the Sauerland region and proudly bears this title. In November, as the days grow shorter and the evenings cooler, the Martini-Markt invites you to a final big city festival of the year before the Advent season begins. For two days, market stalls, carousels, a Ferris wheel, and a cozy autumn lounge with live music transform the city center into a lively meeting point — attracting visitors from the entire Olpe district and beyond.

Market, Kirmes, and Lounge

  • Colorful Market Activities with regional and national vendors
  • Kirmes Fun with rides, carousels, and stalls
  • Autumn Lounge with Live Music — cozy atmosphere with drinks and small dishes
  • Sunday with Open Shops 1:00 PM–6:00 PM — the ideal occasion for a stroll
  • Start of the Hanse-Tombola — Attendorn's city lottery with attractive prizes

The Attendorn Hanse-Tombola

A local specialty: The Attendorn Hanse-Tombola, a lottery with tickets sold in local shops, starts every year with the Martini-Markt. Proceeds go to city marketing and local projects. The lottery regularly attracts great attention and makes the Martini-Markt more than just a classic autumn market.

Attendorn — Hanseatic City in the Sauerland

With around 24,000 inhabitants, Attendorn is the second-largest town in the Olpe district and one of the most distinctive places in the southern Sauerland region of North Rhine-Westphalia. The Atta Cave, the Biggesee lake, and the historic town center with its Sauerland Cathedral attract tourists from all over Germany. The Martini-Markt is an opportunity to experience the city in the most beautiful autumn scenery.

Martini-Markt — edition 2026

The Martini-Markt Attendorn 2026 takes place on November 7th and 8th — two days of market activities, Kirmes, autumn lounge with live music, and a Sunday with open shops from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The traditional Attendorn Hanse-Tombola also starts with the Martini-Markt.

What to Expect

Two days of a bustling city center with market stalls, rides, and a cozy lounge atmosphere. Sunday, with its open shops, is particularly popular — from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the shops in Attendorn's city center open their doors.

Hanse-Tombola

The annual Attendorn Hanse-Tombola starts with the Martini-Markt — tickets are available in local retail stores, and proceeds support city marketing.
