50th Gerolzhofen Wine Festival — "Franconia's Largest Wine Bar"

With its 50th edition in 2026, the Gerolzhofen Wine Festival continues its tradition as one of Franconia's largest wine festivals. The festival is organized by the town of Gerolzhofen together with GEO kommunikativ; the venue is the historic old town around the Marktplatz. During the four festival days, all of Franconia refers to Gerolzhofen as "Franconia's Largest Wine Bar".

Romantic Old Town with Wine Stands

The historic old town and the market square are bathed in a sea of lights with romantic gable lighting; quiet zones complement the festival with sparkling wine and summery wine specialties. Wines from the Steigerwald Wine Panorama are served at the wine stands of the Gerolzhofen Winegrowers' Association, TV Gerolzhofen, and FC Gerolzhofen — Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Bacchus, and Franconian cuvées characterize the selection.

Four Days, Four Stages

Over the four festival days, four stages feature bands and live acts of various styles — pop, Schlager, cover bands, folk, and brass music. On Sundays, a musical Frühschoppen starting at 11 AM opens the festival day, followed by lunch served on the festival grounds.

Culinary Delights and Festival Beer

The culinary offerings range from Franconian bratwurst to juicy steaks, schnitzel sandwiches, pizza, pasta from a cheese wheel, tarte flambée, burgers, and crêpes. A special festival beer is brewed exclusively for the local fire department and complements the wine selection.

Gerolzhofen and the Steigerwald Wine Panorama

Gerolzhofen is located in the district of Schweinfurt in the state of Bavaria, on the edge of the Steigerwald forest and in the heart of the Franconian wine region. The Steigerwald Wine Panorama encompasses around 25 wine villages with their typical Silvaner vines. The wine festival on the market square is a central event in the Franconian summer calendar.
