Big Mallorca Festival with 9 Acts on the Festwiese Bentheimer Eisenbahn
Mallorca festivals have developed into their own festival category in recent years, celebrating Schlager, party pop, and hits outdoors. 'Der Zug hat keine Bremse' brings this format to Nordhorn, using the Festwiese of Bentheimer Eisenbahn AG as a spacious open-air stage. With nine acts on one festival program, the concert is one of the largest Mallorca open-airs in the Lower Saxony-Dutch border region.
The line-up brings together central figures of the Mallorca and Schlager scene. Ikke Hüftgold represents classics of Ballermann hits, Julian Sommer has established himself with current Schlager tracks, Lorenz Büffel brings party hits with a high sing-along factor. Calvin Kleinen adds stage presence known from reality TV, Rumbombe stands for current Mallorca pop, Caro Winter and Nina Reh add the female voice of the scene, Olaf der Flipper brings Schlager tradition with his many years of experience, and DJ Timo Scheppert keeps the dance floor going between live acts and at the end.
The Festwiese is located on the edge of the Bentheimer Eisenbahn premises in Nordhorn and offers a spacious open-air area with enough room for several thousand visitors. Stage setup, catering areas, and sanitary facilities are erected specifically for each major concert.
The concert is day one of a three-day festival weekend. On August 15, the open-air concert with Dieter Bohlen follows under the title 'Sommer Open Air 2026', and on August 16, the Markus Krebs comedy show. Those who want to attend all three days can find corresponding festival passes in advance.
Tickets are available via Eventim, nw-tickets, and other advance booking offices. The festival is open to ages 16 and up. Admission on August 14 from 4:30 PM, program start from 5 PM. The stage show runs late into the night.
With nine acts in one evening, the Mallorca Open Air is one of the largest Mallorca open-airs in the region. The diversity of the line-up ensures that the audience continuously experiences new energy on stage without individual sets becoming too long.
The concert marks the beginning of a three-day festival weekend on the grounds of Bentheimer Eisenbahn AG. Those who want to experience the full weekend can continue on Saturday with Dieter Bohlen and on Sunday with Markus Krebs.
