The Laurenzimarkt is the traditional Volksfest (popular festival) of the municipality of Ernsgaden in the Hallertau region (Pfaffenhofen a.d.Ilm district). For three days around the beginning of August, the village celebrates in honour of its patron saint St. Lawrence with festivities, brass band music, a family and seniors' afternoon, and a large vintage car meet with a parade through the village.

Getting There

Ernsgaden is located in the Pfaffenhofen a.d.Ilm district, easily accessible via the A9 motorway (Manching/Ingolstadt exit) and the B16 federal road. Parking is available at the festival grounds.

Admission

Admission to the Volksfest and the vintage car meet is free; food and drinks are sold on-site.

Tip

The vintage car meet on Sunday starting at 1 p.m. with the parade at 2:30 p.m. is the main crowd-puller – arrive early.
