Spring Run with Championship Status
The Lauf im Kulturpark is a regular fixture in Neubrandenburg's running calendar. The organizer is HSV Neubrandenburg, the city's university sports club. The half marathon distance of the run also serves as the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State Championship in Half Marathon — giving the spring run significance beyond hobby sports.
Circuit through the Culture Park
The race takes place on a roughly two-kilometer circuit within Neubrandenburg's Culture Park. Participants complete multiple laps over the 5 km and 21 km (Half Marathon) distances. The start and finish lines are at the Stadthalle on Parkstraße. Before the main race, there is a children's run, ensuring the younger generation also has its own competition.

With its 33rd edition in 2026, the Lauf im Kulturpark looks back on a long history. Over the years, the spring run has evolved into a meeting point for the running community from the city and the region — compact in format, convivial in atmosphere.

The Culture Park is one of Neubrandenburg's central green spaces, located on the transition to Lake Tollensesee. Neubrandenburg, the 'City of Four Gates', is situated in the Mecklenburg Lake District within the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

On May 2, 2026, HSV Neubrandenburg invites you to the 33rd edition of the 'Lauf im Kulturpark'. The spring run takes place on a circuit of approximately two kilometers within the Culture Park; start and finish are at the Stadthalle on Parkstraße.
The distances offered are 5 km and 21 km. The half marathon distance is the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state championship in half marathon. A children's run starts before the main race.
