Summer Concert Series at the Thuringian Main Thermal Facility

The Kurkonzerte Bad Lobenstein are a traditional summer concert series at the ARDESIA-Therme, the main thermal facility of the spa town. From May to August 2026, open-air concerts will take place on Sundays from 2 PM to 4 PM in front of the thermal bath — a typical German spa concert tradition with brass bands, duo formations, and regional music groups, appealing to locals and spa guests alike. Free admission.

Classic Spa Concert Atmosphere

The series follows the classic German spa concert tradition of the 19th and 20th centuries: wind ensembles, folk music, duos, and small ensembles play outdoors at a health resort — as a supplement to the spa stay and as a meeting point for spa guests and locals. The programme combines brass bands, folk music duos, regional music groups, and occasional classical programmes — a mix of entertainment and cultural tradition.

ARDESIA-Therme — Thermal Bath and Wellness Facility

The ARDESIA-Therme is the thermal bath and wellness facility of the spa town of Bad Lobenstein. The modern bath with brine, thermal bath, and sauna area is one of the most important tourist magnets in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt region. The spa concerts logically connect with a visit to the thermal bath — many guests combine a bath and concert visit for a holistic wellness experience.
