A Night of Art in the Old Town

The concept is strikingly simple yet special: The shops in Fallersleben's Old Town open their doors to artists from the region, becoming mini-galleries for an evening. Simultaneously, colorful lights illuminate facades, alleys, and squares. Strolling through the Old Town, you'll discover a new world in every shop window — and can chat directly with the artists.

Shops as Galleries

Bookstores, boutiques, bakeries, cafés, and craft shops participate. The owners provide wall space, tables, and display windows. Paintings, photographs, sculptures, puppets, glass art, jewelry, and textile art are displayed — much of it comes from Fallersleben itself and the surrounding area.

Light Installations

Colorful lights, projections, and string lights illuminate the Old Town. The city collaborates with light artists and event technicians to festively stage the alleys, the castle, and individual facades.

Final Concert in the Church

The emotional highlight is the final concert in the church on Friday evening at 8 PM. The program includes classical music, choral singing, or organ music — depending on the year. The church offers impressive acoustics and provides a fitting conclusion.

Saturday — The Exhibition Remains Open

The exhibition in the shops remains open on Saturday. Those who miss Friday can stroll through the Old Town at a relaxed pace on Saturday, shop, browse, and meet artists.

Since 2006

Kunst & Licht is one of Wolfsburg's traditional pre-Advent events. The association Blickpunkt Fallersleben has organized the event since 2006 — one of the most important neighborhood events of the year.
