Curated sales exhibition by 21 artists and designers from Berlin-Brandenburg
The Kunst-Hand-Fest in Spreenhagen is more than a classic arts and crafts market: it is a carefully curated sales exhibition that brings together 21 selected positions from Berlin and Brandenburg every year. At the rural estate Latzwall 6 in Spreenhagen, in the heart of the Oder-Spree district, collectors, lovers of contemporary design, and visitors looking for handmade unique pieces meet.
The selection of exhibitors covers an exceptionally wide spectrum: ceramicists such as Asta Volkensfeld, Christiane Landbeck, or Thorben Heuer show vessels between function and sculpture. Jewelry designers such as Anja Irina Dau and Cornelia Frahm present wearable objects made of silver, gold, and unusual materials. Fashion designers such as Eliza Piazzese and Gabriela Pohl create wearable pieces beyond mass production. In addition, there is painting (Joshua Hoskins, Rostyslav Voronko), sculpture (Olaf Hannemann), photography (Louise Amelie), as well as works in wood and leather.
Organizers Sylvia Wegener and Mark Schwolow focus on quality over quantity. Instead of long market rows, an intimate encounter between the public and creators is created in the garden and courtyards of Latzwall. The artists are present themselves, talk about their techniques, and accept commissions. It is precisely this directness that distinguishes the festival from large commercial markets.
Spreenhagen is located between Berlin and Frankfurt (Oder), nestled in the forest and meadow landscape of the Oder-Spree lake district. Those planning a long weekend can combine a visit to the Kunst-Hand-Fest with a tour of the nearby Spreewald or Märkische Schweiz. For Berliners, Spreenhagen is reachable in under an hour by car — the Kunst-Hand-Fest is therefore a popular excursion for a weekend away from the city.
The organizers are continuously accepting applications for the 2026 edition. Artists or designers interested can find an application form on the official website. Positions with a clear concept, high craftsmanship quality, and a unique signature are selected.
On June 13 and 14, 2026, the Latzwall 6 estate will transform into a curated stage for regional arts and crafts. 21 selected positions from Berlin and Brandenburg showcase their works — from hand-thrown ceramics and goldsmithing to independent fashion lines. The artists will be present to discuss their techniques with the audience.
Unlike large markets, the Kunst-Hand-Fest focuses on an intimate atmosphere: encounter, conversation, direct sales. In the garden of Latzwall, visitors can take their time to engage with each work. Catering will be available to ensure your well-being.
Participating positions include: Ceramics (Asta Volkensfeld, Christiane Landbeck, Thorben Heuer), Jewelry (Anja Irina Dau, Cornelia Frahm), Fashion (Eliza Piazzese, Gabriela Pohl), Painting (Joshua Hoskins, Rostyslav Voronko), Sculpture (Olaf Hannemann), Photography (Louise Amelie).
