Six days of live music, summer flair, and culinary delights in the Bürgerpark — free admission
When the heat settles over the Kraichgau in late July, the Kultursommer Bruchsal begins in the Atrium and the surrounding Bürgerpark. From July 21 to 26, 2026, experience six days of open-air concerts, a summery atmosphere, and culinary offerings celebrating the Karlsruhe-Bruchsal region — all with free admission.
The program is spread across six festival days with different focuses. The opening is on Tuesday, July 21. Two highlights are new to the program structure for the 2026 Kultursommer:
The alwa newcomer stage is a newly created platform for aspiring regional artists from the Kraichgau and the Karlsruhe district. Applications will open on bruchsal-erleben.de. Here, young bands and solo acts get the chance to perform in front of a large open-air audience.
The closing day is dedicated to families. With child-friendly programs, interactive activities, craft stations, and age-appropriate music, the Bürgerpark becomes a summer family arena.
Between Tuesday and Sunday, live music will fill the air across various genres — from singer-songwriters to pop, rock, world music, and cover bands. The final daily program and artist selection will be published on the festival website. Accompanying this, regional caterers and food trucks will offer a wide range of culinary options.
With around 47,000 inhabitants, Bruchsal is the second-largest city in the Karlsruhe district. It is famous for the Baroque residence Schloss Bruchsal with its staircase designed by Balthasar Neumann — one of the most beautiful staircases in Southern Germany. The Kultursommer takes place in the modern Atrium and the adjacent Bürgerpark, just a few minutes' walk from the palace. Bruchsal is located on the A5 and A6 motorways — the city is reachable from Karlsruhe, Heidelberg, Heilbronn, and Mannheim in under 30 minutes.
The Kultursommer is organized by Bruchsaler Tourismus, Marketing & Veranstaltungs GmbH (BTMV). Main sponsors for the 2026 edition include SEW, Sparkasse Kraichgau, alwa (brand name of the namesake stage and family day), John Deere, Kompass, and other local companies. This broad support makes free admission to all program points possible.
