Cabaret, Variety, and Music of the Roaring Twenties in Bad Kreuznach's Kurpark
Bad Kreuznach's Kurpark is one of the most beautiful and historically significant spa facilities in Germany. With its ancient trees, the saltworks, the paths along the Nahe river, and the representative buildings from the spa era, it offers an atmospheric backdrop for the Kulturpark-Festival. The open-air stage and the historic hall buildings complement each other.
The festival works with a motto each year that guides the program. In 2026, it's the Golden Twenties, the Roaring Twenties between World War I and the Great Depression. The era, with its mix of jazz, Charleston, a new sense of life, and cultural awakening, offers rich material for a diverse program.
The opening on May 30th is hosted by SWR1 with the open-air edition of the program 'Hits und Storys' in the Kurpark at 7 PM. May 31st features a mezzo-soprano program, and on June 4th, the Gatsbeat Show brings the spirit of the twenties to the stage. On June 5th, the cabaret artist Florian Schroeder, known for his sharp political programs, will perform. The festival concludes on June 7th with Lars Reichow and his program 'Boomerland'.
Over the years, the Kulturpark-Festival has developed into one of the most important cultural events in the Nahe region. The combination of renowned artists, a special venue in the Kurpark, and the thematic focus provided by the motto creates an event with its own unique character that attracts its audience year after year.
The 2026 edition is dedicated to the atmosphere of the Roaring Twenties, one of the most culturally vibrant eras of the 20th century. The program combines cabaret, concerts, variety shows, and performances into a coherent festival week in the Kurpark.
