Beachsoccer on the Sunny Island
Fehmarn – Germany's sunniest island, in the Ostholstein district of the state of Schleswig-Holstein – offers the ideal setting for beachsoccer. The wide, long Südstrand near Burgtiefe has been the regular venue for the Flens-Beach-Trophy for years, one of the most renowned beachsoccer tournaments in Northern Germany.
Dual Function: DFB Tour + State Championship
The tournament is anchored in the German beachsoccer calendar in two ways:
- Highlight of the DFB Beachsoccer Tour – the official competition series of the German Football Association, whose points count towards qualification for the DFB finals in Warnemünde
- Official Beachsoccer State Championship Schleswig-Holstein – organized by the Schleswig-Holstein Football Association e.V. (SHFV)
Two Days, Two Competitions
The format clearly separates the competitions:
- Saturday – Men's tournament (starts at 12 PM)
- Sunday – Women's tournament (starts at 12 PM)
The winners qualify for the national finals of the DFB Beachsoccer Tour in Warnemünde.
Spectacle on the Sand
Beachsoccer is football in its most explosive form: two halves of 12 minutes each, five players per team on a compact sand field, acrobatic bicycle kicks, and volleys. Spectacular game scenes are the reason why the tournament at Fehmarn's Südstrand attracts many spectators without admission fees. Free admission.
World Cup Summer 2026
In 2026, the Flens-Beach-Trophy falls within a very special football summer: the FIFA World Cup in North America is running concurrently. Beachsoccer on Fehmarn's Südstrand offers the perfect relaxing diversion in the sand – summer, football, the Baltic Sea, and sun.

Flens-Beach-Trophy 2026 at Südstrand Fehmarn
From July 4 to 5, 2026, Südstrand Fehmarn (Burgtiefe, 23769 Fehmarn) will be the stage for the Flens-Beach-Trophy. Organizer: Schleswig-Holstein Football Association e.V. (SHFV) in cooperation with Tourismus-Service Fehmarn GmbH.
The tournament is a highlight of the DFB Beachsoccer Tour and the official Beachsoccer State Championship of Schleswig-Holstein. Beachsoccer is football in its most explosive form – five players per team, sand field, two halves of 12 minutes each. Spectacular game scenes, bicycle kicks, and acrobatic volleys attract spectators from all over Northern Germany.

Getting There
By car: A1 (Vogelfluglinie) via the Fehmarnsund Bridge, then B207 towards Burg and continue to Südstrand. By train: Burg auf Fehmarn station, then bus to Südstrand. Parking: Beach parking lots (fee required).

Beach chairs and loungers directly at the competition field. Day tickets for beach access and Burgtiefe harbor from Fehmarner Tourismus-Service GmbH.
