A Renaissance Palace as a Stage
Schloss Landestrost is one of the most important cultural-historical buildings in the Region Hannover. Built at the end of the 16th century at the behest of Duke Erich II of Brunswick-Lüneburg, it is one of the oldest Renaissance palaces in Northern Germany. Today, it houses, among other things, the district archive and is a venue for the Region Hannover.
Three Special Venues
- Concert Hall – for chamber music and smaller musical formats
- Amtsgarten – open-air concerts in the historic garden
- Casemates – underground vaults for concerts with special acoustics
2026 Program
The 2026 season starts on July 1st and runs until August 30th (last evening August 26th). It includes concerts from classical, jazz, folk, singer-songwriter, and pop genres, as well as readings. Two special concerts will follow in September:
- Thursday, September 10, 2026 – Sebastian Krumbiegel (singer, Die Prinzen)
- Sunday, September 20, 2026 – Baroque concert with countertenor Alex Potter
