The Kreisschützenverband Wolfenbüttel e.V. is the umbrella organization for marksmen's clubs in the Wolfenbüttel district. It unites numerous marksmen's guilds from the city of Wolfenbüttel as well as from the municipalities of the district – including Baddeckenstedt, Cremlingen, Oderwald, Remlingen-Semmenstedt, Schladen-Werla, and Sickte. Throughout the year, the association organizes competitions, training courses, meetings, and representative events, the crowning glory of which is the annual Kreisschützenfest.

Multi-day Festival Week

The Kreisschützenfest typically spans several days, combining sporting, ceremonial, and social elements. Parades of marksmen in traditional attire march through the host city or municipality, shooting competitions determine the district's reigning monarchs, a festive church service connects the secular festival with religious tradition, and festive balls and dance events ensure lively evenings. Additionally, there is a family program with children's carousels, games, and smaller competitions.
